Computers and Writing 2012 extensions
Submitted by Ashley Hall on Fri, 09/09/2011 - 5:48pmAimee and Britt - I have a project for you to work on Monday during your SITES shify.
Please look at the list of PhD programs listed below and create a google docs spreadsheet and share it with me (knowledges33ker@gmail.com), sites.unc@gmail.com and with Jason Loan.
Please check the web site for each school to find their PhD program in Rhetoric and Composition and/or Digitial Media and/or English and/or Digital Rhetoric (or anything that looks close to these).
Enter the main URL for the department/grad program into column two on the spreadsheet.
Then try to search the web site and/or call them to find out who the Director of Graduate Studies is and what his/her email address is. Enter this info into columns three and four on the spreadsheet.
If possible, please complete this research on Monday because Jason and I will be contacting the DGS for the programs on Tuesday.

PIT Podcasts
Submitted by Ashley Hall on Wed, 08/31/2011 - 8:32pmBritt is the lead on this project. Adam and Adam are going to help build the tools for us to publish the podcasts. Test out the podcasting tools on Sydney's sandbox site before trying to install them on the live pitjournal.unc.edu site. And please let me know before moving to that step so I can backup the database and drupal files ahead of time.

Adam Engel and I have set up a podcast view here, with a sample podcast episode up:
http://siteslab.org/pitjournal/podcasts
Note that there is also an "add podcast" link in the shortcuts toolbar.
When a real podcast has been added, we can put up a link to the view.
