Getting to UW-Stout Menomonie, Wisconsin

If you are flying into the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP), you can reserve a spot on the Chippewa Valley Airport Service shuttle. This shuttle transportation offers service to Menomonie and Eau Claire. The shuttle stops at Country Inn and Suites hotel in Menomonie. If you choose to use the shuttle as your means of transportation, call and schedule by phone at 1-877-811-4211 or 715-830-9400, or online at: https://www.chippewavalleyairportservice.com/ Be sure to reserve a seat as soon as possible if you choose this method.

 

Upon arriving at the MSP airport, another option of transportation is renting a car. Car rental companies include Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty. If you are driving, the University of Wisconsin-Stout is approximately an 80 minute drive from the MSP airport. First merge onto MN-5 E toward MN-55 E/MN-55 W/St Paul/Minneapolis. Then merge onto MN-55 E toward Hastings, take the exit on the left called MN-110 N/MN-13 N, and stay straight to get onto Highway 110/MN-110. Next, merge onto I-494 E and soon after merge onto I-94 E via the 58B exit toward Madison, which will cross you into Wisconsin. Lastly, take Exit 41 toward Menomonie/Barron, turn right onto Broadway Street N/WI-25, and turn left onto 10th Avenue East. The Memorial Student Center (MSC) is located at 302 10th Avenue East.

Dorms – Red Cedar Hall is a suite-style dormitory and will be our primary dormitory for this event.  It is located on north campus, a 5 minute walk from the waterfront (Lake Menomin), 10 minute walk from downtown Menomonie, and 15 minute walk from the main conference building.  The conference shuttle will make stops at Red Cedar Hall in the mornings and evenings Friday-Sunday, as well as several of our local hotels. The nightly fee for dorms on campus are $30 / night.
