Meals will be provided. However, if you are interested in taking a meal on the town (and coupons will be provided in your welcome packet to local businesses and restaurants), Frostburg State offers many great locally owned alternatives (and very little fast food and chain restaurants). All of these are an easy walk from campus.

Sand Springs Saloon: Featuring steaks, burgers, pasta, salads, and crabby bay fries (which are wonderful), Sand Springs is located uphill from campus and the downtown area but is well worth the walk. There is a bar open late and Happy Hour snacks from 3-6 pm Monday - Friday.

188 West Main Street

Dante's Bar and Red Giant Kitchen: Dante's is open late (2 am) and features the area's best micro-brewery beer selection. While there, you may be lucky enough to catch a poetry reading or live music, and you should also considering ordering an artistic panini off of their Red Giant menu.

16 W Main Street

Mountain City Coffeehouse and Creamery: Located in a cute stone building on Main Street, this cofffee shop offers coffee, tea, ice cream, and good sandwiches and salads (as well as Indian food but you must order ahead). They also have free wireless and daily vegetarian specials.

60 East Main Street

Giuseppe's Italian Restaurant: Giuseppe's features artisan pizzas and pasta, a fine wine selection, a large bourbon/whiskey menu, and the only Cheerwine in town.

11 Bowery Street

The Princess Restaurant: The Princess is Frostburg's local diner where Harry Truman once famously ate. The diner features excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees as well as flavored sodas.

12 W Main Street

Au Petit Paris: This French restaurant is often touted as the best cuisine customers have had--anywhere. A slightly more expensive option, Au Petit Paris offers excellent service and atmosphere and excellent food.

86 E Main Street

Gianni's: Gianni's offers pizza and wings and is open late (delivery is also available). Gianni's has over 60 types of wing sauce, great pizza, and open seating for guests.

1 W Main Street

Zen-Shi Sushi: Zen-shi is a full service bar, sushi bar, and fondue restaurant. The sushi is imaginative and can be paired with a number of beers, wines, and mixed drinks. Outside seating is also available (although fondue is only available inside). Add them on Facebook for daily specials and deals (generally the first 3-5 "likes" on an item will receive that deal--and you just tell them you were one of the likes when you arrive). Take-out and delivery are available.

104 E Main Street

Wild Things Restaurant and Bar: Wild Things has a good selection of beer and "bar food" like fried cheese sticks and jalapeno poppers. During the school year, this is one of the students' favorite bars, but during the summer it features more specialty drink specials and may be the location for our karaoke night.

113 E Main Street

The F Bar (Bowery Street Pub): The F Bar has the best selection of shots and a decent beer list and is located adjacent to campus (not on Main Street). Snacks are available.

180 Bowery Street

Acropolis Restaurant and Lounge: Features a large selection of American-Greek fare. Pitchers are available.

47 E Main Street

El Canelo: Great mexican food and excellent pitcher deals on margaritas. The house margarita is very yummy.

167 E Main Street

Eastern Express: Good Chinese food and the best pot-stickers (steamed/fried dumplings) in the area. Delivery is available.

109 E Main Street

Gladstone's Restaurant and Lounge: This laid back bar is attached to the Hotel Gunter and is a favorite place for senior-level students and locals.
