Working With Video
Much like working with sound, initial experiments in using video in your classroom can be as simple as having students use their smartphones or the webcams on their laptops to make a short, getting-to-know-you type composition in the first weeks of class. Having students share these composition via YouTube and/or Vimeo can then provide a way into thinking about the rhetorical situation or genre in, say, ENGL 105.
